Consumer Privacy Policy

Last updated on: 01/07/2026

This Consumer Privacy Policy describes how Skynet LLC. (“Skynet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles the personal information of individuals (“Consumers,” “you,” or “your”) who visit the online platforms (“Skynet Sites“) or use the services provided by our merchants (“Merchants” or “sellers”) who use the Skynet platform.

Please note: When you make a purchase from or interact with a Skynet Site, the Merchant is the primary party responsible for your data. We process your data on behalf of that Merchant.

1. Our Role

Skynet provides the underlying technology platform that our Merchants use to run their businesses.

  • Merchant’s Role (Data Controller): The Merchant (the seller of the goods or services) is the Data Controller (or equivalent under applicable privacy laws). They determine the purpose and means of processing your personal information, including how they market to you.
  • Skynet’s Role (Data Processor): Skynet acts as a Data Processor (or service provider) on behalf of the Merchant. We only process your personal information according to the Merchant’s instructions and our agreement with them (the Terms of Service and Data Processing Addendum).

If you have questions about a Merchant’s specific privacy practices, please contact the Merchant directly.

2. Information We Collect on Behalf of Merchants

We collect and process the following categories of personal information when you interact with a Skynet Site, on behalf of the Merchant:

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address provided during checkout or registration.
  • Order Information: Details regarding the products or services purchased, including item details, purchase time, and quantity.
  • Payment Information: Payment card details (processed securely by third-party payment processors like Stripe Connect) or other financial information necessary to complete a transaction. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
  • Shipping Information: Delivery address, shipping method, and tracking information.
  • Technical Data: Information automatically collected from your device, including IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and referring website addresses. This data is collected via cookies and similar technologies (see our separate Cookie Policy).
  • Support Communications: Records of any communication between you and the Merchant that passes through our platform.

3. How We Process and Use Your Information

We process your personal information only to fulfill our contractual obligations to the Merchant and to provide the underlying services.

  • Order Fulfillment: To process your payment, confirm your order, and facilitate the delivery of goods or services.
  • Service Functionality: To provide customer service, manage returns, and enable core shopping functions (like maintaining a shopping cart).
  • Security and Fraud: To screen transactions for fraudulent or high-risk activity on behalf of the Merchant and to protect the security of our platform.
  • Analytics and Reporting: To provide the Merchant with analytics and reports on their sales, website traffic, and customer engagement.

4. Disclosure of Information

We disclose your personal information in the following ways, based on the Merchant’s instructions:

  • To the Merchant: We share all collected information with the Merchant (the seller) so they can fulfill your order, provide customer support, and market to you.
  • To Third-Party Providers: We share necessary information with service providers who assist the Merchant, such as:
    • Payment Processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) for transaction processing.
    • Shipping and Fulfillment Carriers (e.g., FedEx, USPS) for order delivery.
    • Apps and Integrations chosen by the Merchant (as detailed in Section 9 of the Terms of Service).
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if legally required to do so by law enforcement, regulators, or pursuant to a valid subpoena or court order.

5. Your Consumer Rights and Choices

Since the Merchant is the Data Controller, you must address your privacy rights requests directly to the Merchant.

  • Access, Correction, or Deletion: If you wish to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information, you must contact the Merchant whose Skynet Site you interacted with.
  • Marketing Opt-Out: If you wish to stop receiving marketing communications from the Merchant, you must contact the Merchant directly or use the unsubscribe link in their emails.
  • Skynet Assistance: If you contact us directly with a request related to your rights (e.g., a “Do Not Sell My Information” request under CCPA), we will forward your request to the relevant Merchant(s) and provide the Merchant with the information they need to respond.
